When you hear Hu Jintao, the President of China, speak, don’t forget Hao Wu.
The reason for Hao’s detention is unknown. One of the possibilities is that the authorities who detained Hao want to use him and his video footage to prosecute members of China’s underground Churches. Hao is an extremely principled individual, who his friends and family believe will resist such a plan. Therefore, we are very concerned about his mental and physical well-being.
Just a note that I have been following progressive politics in Virginia at Raising Kaine. It’s an interesting place - many old-style democrats and youngsters in the Howard Dean / European Social Democrat mold. I’ve already been attacked anonymously there - which only goes to show you that I must be doing something right.
One thing’s for sure: While I consider whether to return to the Democratic Party to reform it, I can’t do so as long as Harris Miller calls himself a Democrat.
If Miller wins the VA primary, I might as well join the RNC because the Democratic Party will have completely sold its soul to the highest bidder.
