So now the Dixie Chicks are posing nude on the cover of Entertainment Weekly.

Waiting to meet Uday

What's the deal with nude protests? According to a CNN article, one naked protester at a protest in Australia stated that it showed "strength through vulnerability".
Excuse me? In my studies of ancient and modern history I have never heard of a people that defeated any power by being naked. Just what the hell does "strength through vulnerability" mean?
I suppose that protesting in the nude - especially famous people like the Dixie Chicks - has nothing to do with the fact that sex sells, or the fact that being naked for WHATEVER reason draws attention to onesself.

Look! A buffet for the Iraqi Secret Police!

And that seems to be exactly what is happening to the Dixie Chicks. ABC will broadcast an interview of the Chicks by Diane Sawyer - not known for her aggressive questioning or microphone-cutting ways like Bill O'Reilly. Watch for our fisking of it.
Unfortunately for the male side of Conservativism, there's absolutely NO CHANCE Ann Coulter will be protesting in this fashion. Not only was she supportive of the war, she has the sense that God gave her to recognize that getting naked for political purposes is stupid at best, kind of cheesey at worst. Dang...

The Chicks think that being naked may show strength, but prove instead that nothing beats being famous and un-godly rich with fawning reporters ready to make you the story of the day.
