Baroness Margaret Thatcher 1925-2013

Union Jack

I’m silent about the Lefty celebrations over her death because I have big plans when Jimmy Carter meets Che Guevara, Pol Pot and Adolf Hitler in Hell.

UPDATE: The Economist does the Lady proud this week. And I’m sure this cartoon in the venerable magazine would have made her smile.

Isn’t it interesting that FEW (if any) make mention of her close business relationship with Ronald Reagan which led in part to bringing down the Berlin Wall? Would Reagan have been the man that he was without her? Sure! Would it have been quite as secure for him, with The Iron Lady having his back? I wonder.

The two are woven together in a Gordian knot; it’s really impossible to say what one would have been like without the other. Thankfully they had each other.
Regardless, both were giants whose legacies only grow as time passes. Not so for the peons that opposed them.
Be sure to check out this week’s issue of The Economist who do the Iron Lady right.

    Superbly stated!

I know I’m late, but I just thought I would add this alternative cartoon relating to Maggie’s passing. Y’know from a typical British perspective…
