After reading yet another comment from a moral relativist that Iraq was “better with Saddam in power”, I came up with this idea.

    I find this new-found “Sympathy for the Devil” attraction towards Islam by the Left to be rather curious. I mean to claim you support womens and gay rights and then ally yourself with the most misogynist and anti-homosexual religion in the world…

    Add to this the meme that “Iraq was better under Saddam” and one must recognize that the Left isn’t the “Left” anymore. The Left is now the New Right – a group of reactionaries supporting tradition and the status quo.

    In the meantime you have neo-Cons worried about oil dependency, free speech on campus, and the treatment of Christians in Saudi Arabia – and these are conservatives?

    The Right is the New Left. I think that Iraq has so shattered the political spectrum that positions have completely shifted while the names have not.
