I agree that having so much people crossing the border illegaly is bad for this country as it is for the people who risk their lives tring to cross the border. But, the problem is that some of them are brought here by their parents. These kids grow up with the American Culture and cotribute to the US economy as any other american. What should there kids do when they grow up. I am a US citizen and have been married for 2 years with my wife who was brought here by her mom illegaly at the age of 4. Shouldn’t an American citizen be able to travel with his wife outside of the country?
I think that the President’s plan to give temporary permits to illigal immigrants is great, that way they can go home after their permit expiers. He has made it clear that he is going to offer the jobs to American citizens first and if no American wants to work in Gardening, Washing dishes, Picking up straberries etc.. then he will give the job to someone who doesn’t mind doing it. He also has said that he will fine the employers that hire illigal immigrants so this will DISCOURAGE MORE ILLIGAL IMMIGRATION. So what do you think? Should qualified illigal immigrants (ex. my wife) who have contributed to this economy as anybody else and who has stayed out of trouble be allowed to stay with her family (Me) or not? Should dirty jobs be given to American citizens who won’t take them unless they pay extremely high wages? Remember: that if for example an employer pays 20 dlls for somebody to wash dishes, YOU WILL PAY HIGHER PRICES FOR YOUR FOOD and many other products and services.

Why not take advantage of the situation. You and I speak good english and most illigal immigrants don’t. So you have better communication skills and they won’t compete with you for any good job, unless you want to flip burgers all the times. Even then you could be the Mc Donald’s magager and boss them around. Some of you say that by improving the conditions and paying better wages to the people who do the dirty work, an american will be able to take the job; it sounds fabulous but who will end up paying for those great benefits? It will YOU AND I and that will create INFLATION. I can almost see your sons and dauthers picking up struberries under the sun, and you doing maintance work. It is easy to say that an American would do the dirty jobs, but WOULD YOU DO IT? You are the American, take advantage of the situation and don’t be lacy. You need to have goals that do not involve doing the dirty jobs.

I think we do need illigal immigrants because if you study economics you will find out that THEY HELP keep prices down with their cheap labor. It is not affecting you or me because we are not competing with them. Also, they come here and they segregate. Not that we tell them where to live, but they choose to live in hispanic communities not in the white naiborhood. Every politician knows that this country needs illigal immigrants and that is why we have not developed a system that gets rid of them. ILLIGAL IMMIGRANTS HELP KEEP INFLATION LOW. If it wasn’t for them, we would be demanding higher wages for every job, but because they come and get paid less than they would pay a white guy, prices don’t go up. And YOU and I very well know that when prices go up, it takes a while for our wages to catch up.
