		<description><![CDATA[As a former public school teacher in America, I can say from personal experience that the fuss over how grand America&#039;s &quot;educators&quot; are is way overblown.  Of course one must state the obligatory, &quot;there are many good teachers out there&quot; - which there are, but the system as  whole (&#039;could  be spelled, &quot;hole&quot;) s a massive bureau-stockade of incompetents with neither the skills nor expertise to educate children.  The conservative caricature of social-planning clones obsessed with &quot;global warming, &quot; world peace, and Wizard of Oz portrayals of history and America&#039;s system of government is not a caricature, it&#039;s the norm.

The fact the the teachers in Chicago currently on strike are pulling in $70.000 + a year and are demanding more is almost laughable if it weren&#039;t for the fact that so man others are taking subsistence jobs or dropping out of the workforce completely.
