Interesting that you pointed that out. After posting that I did some research on Kenoun. I couldn&#039;t find much out there except for other quotes that as you point out could go either way. For example, &quot;The occupation and robbery of a nation occurs under the illusion of freeing its citizens from brutal oppression.&quot; Mkay, but weren&#039;t the Japanese freed by their occupier after World War 2? How about post war Europe - or the the US after the war of independence? Such statements aren&#039;t very helpful; at worst they could be considered nihilistic because they imply that their is no freedom or hope. 

Kenoun is only known for his quotes, and at this point I&#039;m tending to think he doesn&#039;t exist - kind of like an intellectual &quot;Kilroy&quot;.
